How to file a notice

Send a written notice to Contact us. Identify the copyrighted work, describe the material you believe infringes it and where it appears on our site, give us a way to contact you, and state that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised and that the information is accurate. An electronic signature is acceptable.

What happens next

On receiving a valid notice we review it promptly and remove or disable access to the material while we investigate. We notify the person who posted the content and give them a chance to respond. Good-faith reporters face no consequences for raising a legitimate concern, and we aim to act within a few business days.

Counter notices

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter notice to the same address. It should identify the removed material, explain why you believe it was wrongly taken down, and include your contact details and signature. We forward a valid counter notice to the original complainant and may restore the content if the matter is not pursued.

Good faith and fair use

We take copyright seriously and we also protect legitimate commentary, criticism and review. Short quotations with credit and a link back are welcome. Wholesale copying, scraping or republishing our work under another name is not. If you are unsure whether your use is permitted, ask first.
